The Art Atlas Foundation is a non-profit association, created in 2003. Our purpose is to implement programs and activities that have a positive, lasting and sustainable impact on the well-being of our communities, with special emphasis on the development of children and artisan women. We are convinced that fashion cannot be separated from the dignity of its employees and the well-being of our communities.
The work of our foundation is concentrated on four fronts:
We are concerned about the levels of poverty and violence that Peruvian women face every day. As agents of change and economic development, we believe that education and training are key to achieving lasting change. We also believe in the entrepreneurial potential of our communities, therefore, we provide interest-free loans to be invested in infrastructure, machinery and equipment.
Our Child Care program was created to support our collaborators and artisans in the care of their children. Especially those who could not work without this support. In the process, we are creating economic independence for more women and limiting vulnerability to domestic violence.
The Foundation supports schools in remote and vulnerable communities. These are found in areas with problems of domestic violence and lack of independence for women.
We work on programs aimed at developing job and leadership skills with women in these areas.
We also carry out campaigns with the aim of providing children with school supplies and clothing to withstand the cold. This campaign includes the delivery of presents every Christmas.
The Foundation’s programs help with housing, clothing, medicine, and transportation to children in remote communities battling cancer.
